Merdeka Square
The Dataran Merdeka,

pitch¡Xfor the British colonial presence in Malaysia. The
structures bordering the Dataran Merdeka resemble the physical
environment of the colonists' native land. Situated on one
corner of the square is the Selangor Club, replicating the
Tudors of merry old England. It was at this square in 1957
that the Union Jack was lowered and the Malayan flag hoisted,
signaling Malaysia's independence as a nation. A 95-meter
flagpole, one of the tallest in the world, marks the spot.

Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur)
Located at Bukit Nenas,

telecommunications tower in South East Asia and the fourth
tallest tower in the world. The ceiling of the lift lobby is
decorated in the Islamic art form using tiny mirrors.

Palace (Istana Negara)
Istana Negara or National
Palace is the official residence of His Majesty, the Yang
di-Pertuan Agong, the King of Malaysia. It stands on a 28 acre
(110,000 m²) area, located at a commanding position on the
slope of a hill of Bukit Petaling overlooking the Klang River.
Petronas Twin Towers
Situated in the Kuala
Lumpur City Center (KLCC), are currently the world's tallest
freestanding towers. The 88-story twin towers soar 1482.93
feet above the city skyline and are connected by a sky-bridge
on the 41st floor. The sky-bridge is open to public from 8:30
a.m. ¡V 5 p.m.
Petrosains ¡V The Discovery Centre
Petrosains is designed as a
modern museum that allows guests to interact with the exhibits
on display. Visitors can marvel at nearly 7,000 square meters
of exhibition area featuring interactive exhibits, fun
activities and displays. Museum personnel multi-task as

Walk
